At Navitas Professional, we are proud of our student’s and like to share their achievements gained after successful graduation from our programs. One such success story comes from Venkatesh Nitla (Vic) who graduated from the Professional Year Program – Engineering in January 2017.

Recently, we received a testament to the opportunities our programs provide from Vic. Vic said, “Being an international student makes it very hard to get into the Australian job market because frequently our overseas qualifications are not recognised.” This is why Vic chose to enrol in the Professional Year program, endorsed by the Department of Immigration and Border Protection, which combines formal learning with an Australian internship placement and eligibility for migration points.

Upon realisation of this, Vic joined the program under Engineers Australia and reflects how “…The Professional Year program really helped [him] to get into the Australian job market and enabled [him] to become a professional engineer”.

We asked Vic to elaborate how Navitas had helped him during the Professional Year journey and on his time as an Intern, and Vic came back with passionate remarks. “I consider myself very fortunate to have had Navitas Professional place me as a civil engineer at Growthbuilt, a leading NSW construction company for over 11 years. Soon after graduating, I was offered a full-time position as a Cadet – Engineer. I have been welcomed as an integral part of a passionate team and work closely with my leaders’ every day”.

Vic is just one of many success stories and we are very proud to have had the pleasure in supporting Vic on his journey to becoming a civil engineer. Congratulations Vic, we are sure you will excel in your future endeavours.
